Dirt was great.

Dirt 2 was awesome.

Dirt 3 was a disappointment.

Every time one of those "challenges" appears in Dirt 3 I lowered the difficulty to 1 and beat it for good, nothing worse than getting stuck doing something you don't want to.

The rallying is good and some other events are nice, but those "shows" are terrible.

dirt 3 seriously dropped the ball by showing pikes peak in the fucking trailer and not putting it in the game. dirt is still the best

I stopped playing after CMR 04. I feel old. And rally games need tarmac and snow/ice stages too. And less douchebaggery.

Ha! I did the same thing! And then in Gymkhana when it said I had the event high score I'd just get up and get a snack while waiting for the counter to tick to zero

Honestly I liked 3 more than 2, aside from the Gymkhana nonsense. In 3 the cars felt less arcade-y than 2. Also rallies were won on cumulative time, AS THEY SHOULD BE, not a point system based on finishing position in each stage (also more stages).

Same here. I still love and play all three DiRTs, though the first holds a special place as the most realistic and accurate
